D | Ende August fand die 17. Versammlung der European Association of Agricultural Economists in Rennes statt. Das diesjährige Konferenzthema lautete: „Agri-food systems in a changing world: connecting science and society“. Die Veranstaltung fand im wunderschönen Gebäude „Congress Center Couvent des Jacobins“ im Herzen von Rennes statt, wo Forscher aus der ganzen Welt zusammenkamen, um Ideen auszutauschen. Auf dieser Konferenz präsentierte Katrin Brückner ein Poster, das sich mit sozial-kognitiven Prozessen beschäftigte, die sich auf eine gesündere Produktauswahl beim Einkaufen auswirken. Hierfür wurden zwei Modelle erstellt und miteinander verglichen. Mit über 1000 Teilnehmern bot die Konferenz außerdem eine Vielzahl spannender Vorträge, Präsentationen und Diskussionen. Zusätzlich zum faszinierenden wissenschaftlichen Programm wurden den Teilnehmern zahlreiche Freizeitaktivitäten angeboten, darunter der Besuch einer Kunstausstellung, eine historische Stadttour und kulturelle Einblicke in die Bretagne. Dies ermöglichte den Teilnehmern nicht nur Networking, sondern auch die Gelegenheit, die Geschichte und Kultur von Rennes näher kennenzulernen.
EN | In late August, the 17th congress of the European Association of Agricultural Economists took place in Rennes. The conference’s theme for this year was „Agri-food systems in a changing world: connecting science and society.“ The event was held in the beautiful historic building „Congress Center Couvent des Jacobins“ in the heart of Rennes, where researchers from around the world gathered to exchange ideas. At this conference, Katrin Brückner presented a poster that explored socio-cognitive processes influencing the decision-making process for food choices while shopping. Two models were created and compared for this purpose. With over 1000 participants, the conference also featured a wide range of exciting talks, presentations, and discussions. In addition to the captivating scientific program, attendees were offered various leisure activities, including a visit to an art exhibition, historical city tours, and cultural insights into Brittany. This not only facilitated networking but also provided participants with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Rennes.
