MNR staff members participated in "Data for Sustainability" workshop of the Global Fellos Programme Two TUMCS doctoral students in Singapore

Two of our team members, Katrin Brückner and Johannes Buchner, attended the Global Fellows Programme coordinated by the Technical University Munich, Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University last month. The one-week workshop was hosted by Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and this year’s theme was “Data for Sustainability”.

Besides networking and strengthening their intercultural and interdisciplinary communication skills, Katrin and Johannes were working in small groups together with the other PhD students on creating creative solutions to address different global sustainability challenges. The programme also included a visit to the “Marina Barrage”, together with the “Sustainability Gallery Singapore”, as well as the “Equinix Data Centre”.

Fun and downtime were provided by participating in team challenges, going for dinner together and having inspiring conversations with other students. Overall, the programme was a fantastic learning experience for both of them. Katrin and Johannes made new contacts, learned lots of new things from varying disciplines, got to discover a new and interesting culture and most importantly had a lot of fun!
