Guido at the Symposium conference “Green Care – Soziale Angebote auf landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben als innovative Einkommensergänzung”

On September 22, 2025, the EIP Symposium conference on the topic of “Green Care” took place at the Panorama Hotel in Ascheffel. The president of the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture, Ute Volquardsen, welcomed over 100 guests and praised the work of the EIP project. Ten farms and the Maschinenring Mittelholstein are involved as project partners, accompanied by Dr. Thomas van Elsen and Theresa Schwenk from the “Deutschen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Soziale Landwirtschaft”.

As a representative of the “SoLaBay – Soziale Landwirtschaft in Bayern” project, Guido attended the event as a guest and gained valuable insights for the further development of social initiatives in agriculture. Particularly noteworthy was the small group workshop, which featured intensive discussions on the implementation barriers and benefits of social farming. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for nationwide networking and innovative ideas for the future.

Advisory conference at Hof Viehbrook

Immediately afterwards, from September 23 to 24, 2025, a two-day expert consultation conference was held at Hof Viehbrook with a small group of experts. In addition to a lively tour of the farm, practical consulting tools were discovered and future goals and needs were discussed in a peer-to-peer exchange. It became clear that public relations work for Green Care and Social Farming as a new service area in rural areas is becoming increasingly important.

Conclusion

The two conferences were a valuable addition to Guidos expertise. Integration into the nationwide network and the planned technical and scientific contributions will significantly promote the further development of social farming.
