Klaus Menrad was honoured as Best Resercher 2025! Dies Academicus 2025: Awards for outstanding achievements in studies, research and teaching

Outstanding achievements in science, teaching and studies were honoured at the ceremonial Dies Academicus on June, 26th 2025 at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) in Freising. Numerous members of the university, long-standing companions, partner institutions and political guests of honour took part in the event. In his opening speech, President Dr Eric Veulliet emphasised the special responsibility of science in times of social polarisation.

Prof. Dr Klaus Menrad was honoured as Best Researcher 2025. In his laudatory speech, Prof. Dr Christoph Moning (HSWT Vice President Research and Knowledge Transfer) paid tribute to the impressive record of over 50 percent successful project applications, twelve supervised doctorates and 25 years of dedicated work at the HSWT. In his acceptance speech, Prof. Dr Klaus Menrad then emphasised that he is still enthusiastic about research today and thanked his entire team, especially his two long-term post-docs and his team assistants.
